Astronomical equipment and events

Through the years I have acquired many telescopes and various equipment. Recently I sold all of my telescopes 4″ and over, along with most of the accessories. I kept two John Byrne 4″ F15 refractors. I have made crates for both of them, tripod legs for one of the mounts, and also made a lot of adapters to allow use of standard 1-1/4″ eyepieces and accessories.

Now I have sold these, too, since I never use them. I figured let someone younger have them for a while. I still have several small newer scopes, in the 3″ to 4″ range with solar filters.

I also had some very large telescopes. Here is the 8″ F12 double refractor, and the 12″ F8 George Calver Newtonian. The 8″ lens was made by Couder. I added a 25″ Byers drive to this. In the picture, the bottom half of the pier is not installed, so I could fit it in my workshop.
